Living Proof Exhibit presents an annual exhibition celebrating the creative spirit of cancer survivors. This year we are pleased to announce that the exhibition will be displayed at the Figge Art Museum in Davenport, IA from September 10, 2022 through January 1, 2023.



Open to all cancer survivors within a 200-mile radius of the Quad Cities.


Important Dates

Entries due  -  June 1, 2022                                                

Notification of acceptance  -  June 30, 2022                                                           

Delivery of artwork to the Figge  -  August 25 and 27, 2022                                                     

Exhibition  -  September 10, 2022- January 1, 2023                                                                 

Pick up artwork at the Figge  -  January 12 and 14, 2023                                                           


Jurying Process

Artwork for Living Proof Exhibit’s 2022 exhibition will be selected by a panel of jurors. The jurors will consider each piece based upon original concept, materials, technique, and impact.


PLEASE NOTE! Artwork submitted for consideration for the 2022 exhibition should not be work that was previously exhibited with Living Proof Exhibit.


Submission Procedure

For consideration in Living Proof Exhibit 2022, please submit the following:

  1. Please submit up to 5 pieces of artwork and an artist statement by email to



  1. Digital format is required. Digital images of artwork to be considered should be PC-readable, .jpg format and approximately 200 dpi. Artwork files MUST be labeled with title.

  2. You must include an image list with title, medium, date, dimensions of framed 2D art and H/W/D measurements of 3D pieces, and price (if for sale).

  3. Current artist statement with a maximum length of 150 words. Please be aware that space is limited and your statement may be edited to fit on the label that will be placed by your art on the gallery wall. This statement should include information about your cancer journey and how your journey affected your art and/or how your art affected your cancer journey. If you have a web presence, please consider putting your website on your paperwork.

Important Information



All artwork must be ready for hanging or installation. If a work requires special installation equipment or instructions, the artist is responsible for providing these items at the time of delivery. Please use Plexiglass if possible and attach appropriate hanging hardware. Wall artworks must weigh less than 50 pounds. Three-dimensional artworks may be displayed on the floor or on a pedestal (pedestals will be provided by the Figge Art Museum). Artworks may not be suspended from the ceiling. The Figge Art Museum reserves the right not to install any piece deemed not fit for exhibition due to their concern about the safety of the piece. Living Proof Exhibit will be happy to work with you to ensure that your piece is structurally sound and ready for exhibition at the Figge Art Museum.



Neither Living Proof Exhibit nor the Figge Art Museum provide insurance for lost or damaged artwork.



Delivery of artwork selected for the exhibit is the artist’s responsibility. Delivery times are Thursday, August 25 from 5 PM-730 PM and Saturday, August 27, from 10 AM-1 PM. Shipping of the artwork should be arranged prior to the drop off dates to ensure timely delivery of artwork. Please contact Jordan at for more information. 




Pickup of artwork selected for the exhibit is the artist’s responsibility. Pickup times are Thursday, January 12 from 5 PM-730 PM and Saturday, January 14, from 10 AM- 1 PM.
