"Art to Heart"

This is one of the more wholesome projects that will definitely fill your heart with love (literally and figuratively!) Taking the time to sit and think about all of the things you love in your life is not only therapeutic, but it is also a great way to remind yourself to be thankful for each and every thing you hold close to your heart. The things you will include in your drawing are things you love, and they likely have a positive impact on your life. Now, let’s have an “art to heart” talk about the things we love.

Supplies:

  • 1 sheet of paper

  • Colored markers, pens, crayons, or pencils

  • A black marker

Step 1: Draw a picture of a heart and divide it into multiple sections (see below for an example). If you know you will be including over 15 things you love, it’d be smart to make the heart a big one!

Step 2: Color in each section a specific color of your choosing. Keep the colors relatively light as you will be writing the words of the things you love over them

Step 3: Assign each section of the heart to something you love. These can be absolutely anything: people, things, places, hobbies, animals, etc. Here is an example of what mine turned out to look like!

Now, look at all of that LOVE! It’s so important to take the time to reflect on personal thoughts and emotions such as people and things that you love. I hope this project provided you the opportunity to do so.
