Magazine Cutouts: A Personality Board

This art project involves cutting out pictures and quotes from magazines that you think best represent your personality. I used to make a lot of these and I always loved the end result! Gathering different pictures and quotes that I love and putting them together on one blank canvas was a great way to visually see my own personality and interests. It’s also a fun way for others to get to know you and your interests better! The finished product should visually describe you, your interests, and your favorites words/quotes.

The supplies you’ll need for this project include:

  • 2-3 different affordable magazines (these could be art, fashion, cooking, or health magazines)

  • Scissors

  • One roll of Scotch tape or a glue stick*

  • Any colored sheet of paper

*Either one of these options will work great!

Step 1: It may be smart to skim through the magazines you have so that you can look through and choose which pictures/words/quotes you will be cutting out.

Step 2: Begin cutting out your chosen pictures and organize them into a pile.

Step 3: Start placing the cutouts where you want them to be placed on the paper. It can be as organized or as crowded as you want! Once you know how you want it to be organized, begin gluing down/taping your cutouts.

Step 4: Admire your finished project! This was my end result:
